An effective approach is to begin with a set of antibodies that are known or suspected to have useful properties as tool antibodies, and use them to construct a purpose-built tool antibody in a matter of weeks. By obtaining the amino acid sequence of each antibody through de novo protein sequencing, researchers can undertake antibody engineering and recombinant expression for enhanced reproducibility. This process facilitates the creation of antibody reagents customized for research and streamlines target validation in proof-of-concept studies.
