De novo sequencing method is widely used in the research communities where the organisms are largely un-sequenced. We are pleased to announce that Novor is supported by PepExplorer in PatternLab for Proteomics.

PatternLab for Proteomics is an integrated computational environment for analysing shotgun proteomic data. The support and integration of Novor results provides PatternLab users unparalleled capabilities in terms of analysis accuracy and speed.

PatternLab’s PepExplorer aligns de novo results to a target decoy database using the pam30ms matrix and provides results with a global FDR and a list of proteins similar to a traditional search engine thus helping make sense from the results. Novor users can benefit from this by feeding the results into Patternlab’s PepExplorer module.
