Protein Sequencing Grant Program

During this time of uncertainty, our team has committed to giving back to the scientific community by offering our de novo protein sequencing service for free. We hope to alleviate some of the financial burdens for researchers who are conducting breakthrough work. In challenging times like these where companies must reallocate their budgets and minimize research expenses, we have decided to contribute what we can to ensure antibody research continues.

Rapid Novor has committed to providing 1 antibody protein sequence, free of charge, to a different researcher each month during the COVID-19 period. Additionally, all applicants who fully complete the form and are not selected as a grant recipient will receive a $500 credit with Rapid Novor for future projects.

What Is Antibody Sequencing and What Are We offering

We are offering to sequence one antibody (a $13,000 value) free of charge for different researchers each month during the COVID-19 period.

Rapid Novor is the world leader in antibody protein sequencing technology and is home to the largest privately funded mass spectrometry proteomics facility in Canada. Our team has over 20 years of experience specializing in proteomics, bioinformatics and Big Data processing and we were the first to offer a commercial solution to distinguish between isoleucine and leucine (WILD®). Our industry-leading REmAb® platform directly sequences antibody proteins, without needing access to the cell line. More than 300 biotech and pharmaceutical institutions around the world have benefited from our services for projects ranging from securing pipeline reproducibility to engineering the next biologic for cancer research.

Applicant Criteria

  • Your antibody sample must meet our minimum requirements (monoclonal, 100μg with 80% purity)

  • You must be willing to pay for the shipping of the sample to our facility in Kitchener ON, Canada

  • If selected, you must ship your sample within 6 months

  • You must complete the following application, in full.

This service is valid for the antibody protein sequence of one monoclonal antibody with at least 100μg and 80% purity; failure to meet these sample requirements may result in rejection. Accepted applicants are required to pay for the shipping and handling of their sample to Rapid Novor’s office located in Kitchener ON, Canada; they may use any shipping conditions they see fit. Chosen recipients are required to ship their samples to our facility within 6 months of being notified of their selection.
