Get De Novo Sequencing Done For You

The experts behind Novor software can run your sample through our mass spectrometer and through our bioinformatics workflow (including Novor) to get your sequence.

Before you can start using Novor, please make sure Java (version 7 or above) is installed on your system. If not, you can go here to download one. It is free.

To run your first Novor analysis, unzip the downloaded file to a directory of your choice, for example: ~/build/novor. Below is what the directory look like.

We have included a sample data file, test.mgf, and a sample parameter file, params.txt, in the package so that you can run your first analysis in no time. Below is the command to run Novor.

novor@ubuntu14:~/build/novor$ ./ -p params.txt -f data/test.mgf

In just a few seconds, the analysis will be completed and the result will be saved to data/test.mgf.csv. Below is what the screen looks like after completing the analysis successfully.
